Larry Borne

May 5 - May 26, 2017

Reception: May 5, 2017; 6 - 9pm

Larry, a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, started his artistic endeavors when he was a child in church.  He states that there was nothing to do during the sermons, since he didn’t understand them; so, his parents allowed him to sketch on the Order of Worship, as long as he was quiet during the service.

As he approached retirement, he started painting under the tutelage of Fort Worth artist Jo Rutledge, a noted Fort Worth painter. His inspiration for many of his paintings comes from his many trips to New Mexico each summer, where he spends time on the Navajo reservations and touring area pueblos.

Please come and enjoy his work.
