Reception: November 4, 2016; 6 - 9pm

This is an exhibit of black and white photographs along and near the Rio Grande river as it forms the border between Big Bend National Park and Mexico. The images show the struggle of people’s past and current attempts to make a living in the harsh environment of the Chihuahuan desert.

Ken Spencer, a retired engineer, frequently visits and photographs the Chihuahuan desert and the Chisos mountain range in and around the park. His images have won numerous awards and his prints have been exhibited throughout the state.
