Fort Worth Fringe Festival
September 1-2, 2017 The Fort Worth Community Arts Center and Texas Nonprofit Theatres presents the Second Annual Fort Worth Fringe Fest.
Labor Day weekend, starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, and 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2. All events are at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, with shows at the Scott Theatre and the Sanders Theatre, and one immersive piece in “the Vault,” a basement space.
The event includes various disciplines of performing arts, from across the state of Texas. Performances include Upstart Productions’ staging of the play Lenny Bruce is Back starring Joey Folsom as the legendary comedian; dance from American Classical Ballet Company and Jude McCoy; improv from the JIM Experiment and Frisco Improv Players; the Fort Worth Poetry Society; Lisa Loving Dalton’s new one-woman show Big Bumps....A Stunt Gal's Voluptuous Rollercoaster Life; EllaBeth Bondo in Act-o-philous or Vinegar Love; a mentalist/illusion show from Grant Price; and Brainstorm Productions doing Sam Shepard’s 1975 one-act Killer’s Head in an immersive experience in the basement, starring Chuck Huber. Musician Deanna Valone (see video above) plays Friday night.
